We just returned from a trip to Duck Key in the Florida Keys. I spent all my time packing for the vacation and neglected to remember that my family would actually want dinner when we came home from our trip. I didn’t want to run to the store so I used what I had on hand to create this dish.

As you know we have Taco Tuesday every week but we also have pasta at least once a week because it’s a quick dinner that everyone will love. I’ve partnered with  Green Giant™ Valley Fresh Steamers today for this quick and easy dinner.  I know it’s hard to get your kids to eat vegetables. Sometimes it’s hard to get your husband to eat vegetables. It helps if you start with something you know they will eat like pasta, and then add veggies in.

In our family we do pink sauce on our pasta. Pink sauce is just marinara sauce with a little cream added in. It makes the sauce feel more gourmet and adds a richer flavor.

Only 5 ingredients. {The Girl Who Ate Everything}I added this Green Giant® Steamers Market Blend® which has carrots, zucchini, tomatoes, and yellow peppers. Since these veggies aren’t in season year round this is a great way to go.

A little boring. And then with the added veggies it turns into a vibrant meal with more nutritional value.
